Para desenvolver módulos educacionais / aprendizagens: Connexions: "Connexions is an environment for collaboratively developing, freely sharing, and rapidly publishing scholarly content on the Web. GNU Operating System - Free Software Foundation (FSF)

É este o GNU do gnuLinEx?
O GNU Operating System
e a Free Software Foundation (FSF): "founded in 1985, is dedicated to promoting computer users' right to use, study, copy, modify, and redistribute computer programs.

How do they decide what to learn next? What motivates them to share? These questions are central to the challenges of knowledge management, and yet most corporate portals and online communities are designed in ignorance of their answers.The truth lies within the social fabric that connects people to people and people to content. Relationships, trust and serendipity play key roles. To illustrate, let me tell you a story about my recent foray into social network analysis, a strange world filled with mavens and connectors, structural holes, intensional networks, and socially translucent systems".
A Semantic Studios "is an information architecture and user experience consultancy led by Peter Morville".

- Carnegie Mellon: Journal of Social Structure: Visualizing Social Networks, de Linton C. Freeman, University of California: "This paper documents the use of pictorial images in social network analysis. It shows that such images are critical both in helping investigators to understand network data and to communicate that understanding to others";

- Exploiting social networking in organisations conference review, Conferência do KnowledgeBoard, a 29 de Setembro 2004;

- Social Network Analysis Instructional Web Site, é uma das páginas da Analytech, desenvolvida por Stephen Borgatti: The "purpose of this website is to promote understanding of social network analysis by supporting the teaching of network analysis. It basically contains handouts that explain the concepts and techniques of network analysis. While all the materials on this site are copyright protected, permission is automatically granted for students to download copies for their own use, and for teachers to photocopy for their students. Everyone should feel free to link to any pages on this site. All other use, including but not limited to commercial reproduction of this material, is strictly forbidden without written permission from Stephen P. Borgatti".

Social Software and the Future of Conferences

Vicki Suter, Bryan Alexander e Pascal Kaplan (2005). Social Software and the Future of Conferences – Right Now. EDUCAUSE Review, vol. 40(1), pp. 46–59 [via PontoMedia]:
"New Web applications have proliferated to support this social drive: Friendster (http://www.friendster.com/), LinkedIn (http://www.linkedin.com/), Tribe.net (http://www.tribe.net), orkut (http://www.orkut.com/), Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/), Eliyon (http://www.eliyon.com/), and even a campus-based version, Thefacebook (http://www.thefacebook.com/). And Web publishing tools, such as blogs and wikis, have developed new means for connecting people: the URL post-connector TrackBack, the personal linking analysis tool Technorati, and the blogosphere-scanning index Blogdex.4 At the same time, social network analysis (SNA) theory has grown in depth and application, allowing us to better understand the connective patterns between people."

"The social software movement rekindles our thinking about the socializing features of virtual spaces, which cease to become individual sojourns in isolated content and emerge as zones for information-sharing, collaboration, exploration, and extended community process. In this sense, the software supports a sense of social presence as well as place. At a conference, such a virtual space can help strangers connect through content items, even if they don’t recognize each other’s appearance. The content can be pre-populated or can be generated live during events."

Rise of blogs spawned RSS Aggregators

Data Memo of Pew / Internet - The state of blogging: "The rise of blogs has also spawned a new distribution mechanism for news and information from web sites that are regularly update their content. An RSS aggregator gathers material from Web sites and blogs you tell it to scan and it brings new information from those sites to you. RSS aggregators are usually downloaded and installed on users’ computers and then are programmed to “subscribe” to the RSS feeds from blogs, news Web sites, and other content-rich sites." (p. 3)

Journal of Medical Internet Research - Pharmacist Computer Skills and Needs Assessment Survey

Journal of Medical Internet Research: Robert M. Balen e Peter J. Jewesson (2004). Pharmacist Computer Skills and Needs Assessment Survey: "In addition to having strong clinical skills, pharmacists must be able to use resources effectively if they are to provide optimal patient care [10]. With the introduction of computers and access to the Internet, pharmacists must also possess the necessary computer skills to efficiently manage the high volume of information now available to them. Unfortunately, a standard definition of computer literacy and valid dimensions of computer competency for pharmacy practice have yet to be delineated."
